西班牙语专业是国内首批理工类高校开设的西语专业，开设以来积极服务于国家“走出去”战略和“一带一路”倡议。2021年，西班牙语专业成功获批国家级一流专业建设点。专业教师中博士及在读博士7人，为北京交通大学“三育人”先进集体。

As one of the earliest Spanish programs established in domestic universities of technology, it has actively supported the “Going Global” strategy and the Belt and Road Initiative since its inception. In 2021, the program was designated a National First-Class Undergraduate Program. Its faculty comprises seven doctoral holders and doctoral candidates, recognized as an Advanced Collective in the “Three Aspects of Education”of Beijing Jiaotong University.

本专业旨在培养具备扎实的西班牙语功底、较强的英文能力、良好的跨文化能力、区域国别研究能力及复合跨学科能力，能够在新时代对外开放、“一带一路”国际合作及交通强国建设中发挥积极作用的西班牙语创新复合型人才。学生可跨专业选修校内其他专业课程，并获得学分认定。

This program aims to cultivate innovative and compound talents in Spanish who possess solid Spanish language proficiency, strong English ability, good cross-cultural competence, regional and country studies expertise, and interdisciplinary capabilities. Students will play an active role in China’s new era of opening-up, Belt and Road international cooperation, and construction of a strong transportation nation. Students may take courses from other programs within the university and receive credit recognition.
