在中国交通行业扩大对外开放、加快“走出去”步伐的背景下，北京交通大学于2014年创办葡萄牙语专业。为各行各业输送“精外语、通人文、懂专业”的高素质葡语人才，助力我国与葡语国家和地区的国际交往、经济来往和“一带一路”建设。专业学生在国际级、国家级学科竞赛中屡获佳绩。2021年参与国家级新文科研究与改革项目；2022年获批北京市一流专业建设点。与葡萄牙、巴西、澳门知名高校合作，学生可赴语言对象地交流学习。

Against the backdrop of the expansion of China’s transportation industry’s opening up to the outside world and the acceleration of the “Going Global” pace, Beijing Jiaotong University established the Portuguese program in 2014. This initiative cultivates high-calibre Portuguese professionals who are “proficient in foreign languages, well-versed in humanities, and knowledgeable in their fields” to facilitate international exchanges, economic cooperation, and the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and regions. Students from this program have consistently achieved outstanding results in international and national academic competitions. In 2021, the program participated in a national New Liberal Arts research and reform initiative. In 2022, it was designated a Beijing First-Class Undergraduate Program. The program collaborates with renowned universities in Portugal, Brazil, and Macao, providing students with opportunities to study abroad in the target language regions.

葡萄牙语专业在夯实语言能力、培养跨文化素养的基础上，着力打造“葡语+”的融合型培养模式，拓展交通运输、经济贸易和信息技术等交叉学科知识，提高跨学科学习能力，培养语言基础扎实、国际视野广阔的宽口径、复合型人才。学生可跨专业选修校内其他专业课程，并获得学分认定。

Building upon a solid foundation in language proficiency and cross-cultural quality, the Portuguese program actively develops a “Portuguese+” integrated training model. This approach expands students’ knowledge across interdisciplinary fields such as transportation, economics and trade, and information technology, enhancing their cross-disciplinary learning capabilities. The program cultivates wide-scope, multi-skilled professionals with strong linguistic foundations and broad international perspectives. Students may take courses from other programs within the university and receive credit recognition.
