2025 年首次招生的国家急需专业。该专业以马克思主义新闻观为指导，依托交大理工类和学院多语种优势，以“智能融媒+数据思维+国际视野”为目标，培养培养既精通智能媒体生产与运营能力、又具备数据思维与媒体技能，拥有扎实人文素养、宽广国际视野及坚定中国立场的高层次复合型新闻传播学科拔尖人才。

It is a nationally prioritized program commencing its first intake in 2025. Guided by Marxist principles of journalism, this program leverages Beijing Jiaotong University’s strengths in science and engineering alongside the School’s multilingual expertise. With the goal of “intelligent media integration + data thinking + international perspective”, this program aims to cultivate interdisciplinary journalism and communication professionals skilled in intelligent media production, data-driven thinking, and core media competencies, with strong humanistic grounding, global awareness, and a commitment to China's context.

The establishment of this major significantly serves the Belt and Road Initiative and the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. It prioritizes supporting major national strategies including the Belt and Road Initiative, Globalization Strategy of China's High Speed Railway‌, and better presenting China to the world. Students will develop international communication competencies and intelligent converged media capabilities, gaining strong competitive advantages in fields such as international brand communication, cross-cultural communication, international communication for enterprises and institutions, and intelligent integrated media content production.
