Visit to Our School by Former President of the Central Bank of Uruguay and Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Uruguayan Embassy in China

On December 2nd, Wang Hongying, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Languages and Communication Studies, met with visiting delegates including former President of the Central Bank of Uruguay, Mr. Ricardo Pascale, and Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Uruguayan Embassy in China, Ms. Paola Repetto.

Secretary Wang extended a warm welcome to the guests and provided an overview of the work of both the University’s Uruguay Research Center and the School of Languages and Communication Studies. Mr. Pascale and Ms. Repetto expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and engaged in in-depth discussions with school representatives on topics including Uruguay's current economic situation and changes in the political landscape following its recent elections.

Following the meeting, Mr. Pascale delivered an academic lecture titled “A Perspective on the Uruguayan Economy” to faculty and students from the Spanish Program of the Department of European and Asian Languages in the Lecture Hall on the 6th Floor of Siyuan West Building.
