2022-05-11 Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University Organizes Viewing of Centenary Celebration of Communist Youth League of China. 

On the morning of May 10th, the grand celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People’s Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the conference and delivered an important speech. The Party branch of Tangshan Research Institute organized all Party members and some student representatives to watch the conference in a centralized manner. All students watched the live broadcast of the conference online and listened carefully to the important speech of the General Secretary. General Secretary Xi Jinping comprehensively reviewed the youth journey of the Communist Youth League over the past 100 years, which has unwaveringly listened to the Party and followed the Party. He fully affirmed the important contributions made by the Communist Youth League under the leadership of the Party, uniting and leading generations of young members to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the Chinese Dream. He profoundly expounded on the historical experience of the Communist Youth League and youth work, placed earnest expectations on contemporary youth, and put forward clear requirements for doing a good job in the work of the Communist Youth League in the new era. General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech is full of the Party Central Committee’s warm care for the younger generation and high attention to the cause of the Communist Youth League. It has strong political, ideological, strategic, and guiding significance, and has pointed out the direction of progress and provided fundamental guidance for China’s youth movement and youth work in the new era. Under the organization and deployment of the research institute, all students stationed at Beijing Jiaotong University, State Education College (Tangshan), vocational education, and the University of Yigong project simultaneously watched the live broadcast of the conference to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Youth League. In different locations such as apartments, laboratories, and homes, young Communist Youth League members felt the same encouragement and expressed, “General Secretary said that pursuing progress is the most precious trait of youth, and also the most earnest hope of the Party and the people. As members of the Communist Youth League in the new era, we must study hard, innovate, base ourselves on our positions, practice our skills, pursue political progress, and unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, carry forward the glorious tradition of the Communist Youth League for a hundred years, and contribute our own strength to the cause of the Party and the people.” 26 party members of the research institute watched the live broadcast of the conference and deeply felt the General Secretary’s earnest instructions to the youth of the new era, which are full of deep affection, inspire fighting spirit, and inspire people. This has further strengthened the determination to never forget the original aspiration, keep the mission in mind, and strive for patriotism. The Party branch of the research institute will also bear in mind the requirements of the General Secretary, be a confidant of young friends, enthusiastic about youth work, and a guide for young people, implement the system and mechanism of Party building and youth league building, regularly study and solve major problems in the work of the Communist Youth League, warmly care about and strictly demand the Youth League cadres, and support the Communist Youth League to creatively carry out work according to the characteristics and laws of youth league work. As a new generation of young people at Beijing Jiaotong University, we will never forget the legacy of our predecessors and live up to the expectations of the people.
