Second Call for Transfer Applications: Part-time Master of English Translation Program, School of Languages and Communication Studies

The Master of English Translation program is established within the Department of English at Beijing Jiaotong University's School of Languages and Communication Studies. Since its inception, the program has cultivated a large number of translation professionals who serve major national external communication needs, including facilitating Chinese culture's global outreach and effectively communicating China's stories. The department has now established a comprehensive talent development system spanning undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. In 2021, it was successfully designated as a National First-Class Undergraduate Program Construction Site. Furthermore, the program was consecutively ranked in the top 10% nationwide as an A-tier program in the Soft Science Ranking of Chinese University Disciplines for both 2021 and 2022.

Admission Plan and Minimum Entry Score for the Interview

The minimum required score for the interview is 351 or higher in the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination, with scores in individual subjects meeting the National Line for Zone A. The admission plan is shown in the table below:

The class format is in-person attendance on campus, and the application category must be for on-the-job directional admission. During the re-examination, you need to submit any one of the following materials: social security payment certificate, labor contract, employment agreement, or certificate of current employment.

The adjustment re-examination is scheduled for the afternoon of April 11 and will be conducted online. The School will communicate the specific time with candidates participating in the re-examination.
