Delegation from Qian’an City Federation of Industry and Commerce and Entrepreneurs Association Visits Tangshan Research Institute for Inspection and Exchange

On the morning of March 21, Xu Jingguang, Member of the Standing Committee of Qian’an Municipal Committee, Minister of Organization, and Minister of United Front Work; Peng Shunhui, Party Secretary and Executive Vice Chairman of Qian’an City Federation of Industry and Commerce; Ma Youjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Qian’an Economic Development Zone; and Ye Jinbao,

President of Qian’an Entrepreneurs Association and Chairman of Jinbao Industrial (Qian’an) Group Co., Ltd., led 26 entrepreneur representatives from the Qian’an Entrepreneurs Association to visit Tangshan Research Institute. Both sides exchanged views on university-enterprise cooperation, including the transformation of scientific research achievements, joint research, talent training, and recruitment. Wang Dayong, Director of Tangshan Research Institute, and Dong Jingzhu, Vice Director, accompanied the visit.

Xu Jingguang and his delegation listened to an introduction on the construction and operation of the Institute, visited the campus infrastructure, research facilities, and educational conditions, and inspected the Track Transportation New Materials Industrialization Technology Laboratory at the Mechatronics Science and Innovation Park, the Battery Testing Laboratory at the Electrical Experiment Building, the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for High-Speed Railway Network Management in Siyuan Building B, and the Software Testing Laboratory of Beijing Jiaotong University. They also exchanged views with researchers regarding relevant technologies, scientific achievements, application scope, and market prospects. 

Xu Jingguang stated that the visit revealed a strong alignment between both parties in jointly building science and technology innovation platforms and transforming research achievements. There are broad prospects for cooperation in big data, new energy, new materials, and intelligent manufacturing. He expressed the hope that through precise docking with Tangshan Research Institute, specific projects could be implemented, high-end talents introduced, and support provided to enhance enterprise quality, efficiency, and industrial upgrading in Qian’an, achieving a win-win situation in university-locality and university-enterprise cooperation.

Wang Dayong welcomed the delegation from Qian’an Entrepreneurs Association. He stated that Tangshan Research Institute, relying on the technological and talent advantages of Beijing Jiaotong University, will build an information exchange platform, strengthen communication with enterprises in Qian’an, realize deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and carry out substantial cooperation in scientific research, talent cultivation, and high-end training, supporting enterprise transformation and local economic development. Relevant personnel from Xing’an Subdistrict Office of Qian’an City, Qian’an Entrepreneurs Association, and Tangshan Research Institute’s Institute Office, Technology Development Department, Teaching and Training Department, Asset Management Department, Logistics Department, and Security Department attended the event.
