2022-06-16 Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University Establish Strategic Industry-University-Research Cooperation with Huludao City, Liaoning Province. 

On the afternoon of June 14, at the invitation of the Huludao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Wang Dayong, Dean of the Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University, Yao Kai, Vice Dean, and Liu Jia, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Development Department, attended online via video link the “Signing Ceremony for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Huludao) Industry-University-Research Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” hosted by the bureau. Zhao Xudong, Party Secretary and Director of the Huludao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, attended and delivered a speech. The signing ceremony was presided over by Gao Tiejun, Deputy Director of the bureau. Zhao Xudong stated that by integrating Huludao’s regional and industrial strengths with universities, research institutes, and sci-tech service platforms to establish a collaborative development platform, hosting this online signing ceremony meets the urgent need to actively integrate into the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development Strategy and attract high-quality technological resources to Huludao. He expressed gratitude to the invited participating institutions, introduced Huludao’s policy support, geographical advantages, industrial structure, and development potential. He expressed hope that all parties would deepen exchanges, jointly seek development, and contribute to the industrial transformation, upgrading, and enhancement of scientific and technological innovation capabilities in Huludao. Wang Dayong stated that by establishing a long-term and stable strategic partnership with Huludao City to further strengthen university-local cooperation, the Institute will leverage its strengths in technology and talent. Both sides will enhance exchanges and explore future collaboration in areas such as talent cultivation and training, technological research and achievement transfer, and academic exchange and industry-university-research cooperation. These efforts will be aligned with Huludao’s practical industrial development needs in fields including rail transit and equipment manufacturing, smart city and digital economy, new energy, artificial intelligence and big data, port logistics, and information technology. Guided by the principle of "seeking support through service and promoting cooperation through contribution," the Institute aims to achieve the goal of “complementary advantages and mutual benefit”, and strives to facilitate the implementation of specific projects as soon as possible. During the signing ceremony, eight institutions, including the Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University, the National Engineering Laboratory for Advanced Coating Technology of Metal Materials, the Hebei Industrial Robot Industry Technology Research Institute, and the School of Chemical Engineering of North China University of Science and Technology, successfully signed the “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Huludao) Industry-University-Research Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement”. Senior officials, directors in charge, heads of various departments from the Huludao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, principal and responsible leaders from science and technology management departments of its counties and districts, the head of the Liaoning (Dongdaihe) ‘Technology Transfer with Talents’ Conversion Center, as well as principal responsible persons and relevant staff from the signing parties attended the ceremony.
