2022-04-29 Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University Holds Staff Collective Birthday Salon: “Integrating Knowledge and Practice to Nurture Talents; Remembering Origins and Embracing as One Family.” 

In order to enhance the sense of fulfillment and well-being among the Institute’s faculty and staff, stimulate their work enthusiasm and creativity, and further strengthen the cohesion and solidarity of the workforce, the Institute Labor Union meticulously organized and arranged a unique collective birthday salon event. It was held at the Red Orchard Restaurant on the afternoon of April 28. Wang Dayong, Dean of the Tangshan Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University; Dong Jingzhu, Vice Dean and Chairman of the Institute Labor Union; along with faculty, staff, and support staff whose birthdays fell in the first quarter of the year, jointly participated in the event. The activity was hosted by Li Jiazhi, Vice Chairman of the Institute Labor Union. Before the birthday celebration began, Dong Jingzhu first expressed gratitude to all staff members for their diligent work on the front lines and extended sincere wishes to them. He stated that the Labor Union, serving as a bridge and bond between the Institute and its community, has always prioritized the needs and demands of the faculty and staff since its establishment. It continuously strengthens organizational development, enhances functional capabilities, and actively fosters a sense of belonging among the employees. Moving forward, the Union will continue to leverage its organizational strengths, maintain smooth communication with the staff, safeguard their rights and interests, unite hearts and minds, jointly build a harmonious campus, and propel the Institute’s endeavors forward. Finally, he wished all attending faculty and staff a happy birthday, good health, and happiness. During the event, Wang Dayong presented carefully prepared gifts, including flowers, to each birthday honoree in attendance. He joined them in cutting the birthday cake, savoring sweet pastries while engaging in conversations about the joys of working and living at the Institute, his words filled with deep care. He thanked everyone for their contributions to the Institute’s development and expressed his hope that all colleagues would have smooth work and become the best versions of themselves. During the event’s hosting remarks, Li Jiazhi said, “The round cake symbolizes a united collective, and each of us is a beating heart within it. Our hearts shine because of the collective, and the collective takes pride because of our hearts. May our bond with the Institute deepen through our work. Let us base on our posts, fulfill our duties with utmost dedication, and make new and greater contributions to the Institute’s development!” Teacher Linghu Xiaona spoke as a representative. She expressed that joining the union as a big family is fortunate, and her greatest feelings were warmth and happiness. She thanked the Institute for its care and concern, stating that she would pass this warmth on to everyone around her, repay the university with practical actions, and work even better. Furthermore, the Institute Labor Union presents a cake voucher every month to each faculty and staff member celebrating their birthday, promptly delivering the Institute’s warmth to them. For this collective birthday salon, the Institute Labor Union meticulously planned every detail, creating a harmonious, positive, and progressive atmosphere. It allowed the Institute’s faculty and staff to deeply feel the care of the organization and the warmth of the collective.
