School of Foreign Studies at Chang'an University Visits School of Languages and Communication Studies

On the morning of March 14, 2025, a five-member delegation from the School of Foreign Studies at Chang'an University, including Party Secretary Zhang Yong and Deputy Party Secretary Gou Xiaoqun, visited the School of Languages and Communication Studies for investigation and exchange. The hosts included Sun Wenbo, Party Committee Secretary of the School, Wen Yingchun, Deputy Party Committee Secretary and Associate Dean of the School, Dai Jiangwen, Chair of the English Department, Fan Shucheng, Director of the Experimental Center, and Lu Qiang, Director of the Student Affairs Office.



Sun Wenbo extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided a comprehensive introduction covering the school's basic information, talent cultivation, scientific research, disciplinary development, as well as Party building and ideological-political education. Zhang Yong detailed the talent cultivation, Party building work, student affairs, and scientific research at the School of Foreign Studies, Chang'an University.



During the meeting, Wen Yingchun introduced the school's Party building integration with talent cultivation models and the employment situation of undergraduate and postgraduate students; Dai Jiangwen focused on reforms in the English major training program, introducing the school's talent cultivation philosophy under the new liberal arts background; Fan Shucheng addressed how artificial intelligence technology empowers public English teaching; Lu Qiang discussed the "Party building plus" model, sharing integration approaches of Party building with academic studies and student development. Both sides exchanged views on integrating Party building for high-quality development, AI-related course construction for English majors, precise student employment guidance, and language laboratory construction.



The School of Foreign Studies at Chang'an University and the School of Languages and Communication Studies at Beijing Jiaotong University will take this exchange as an opportunity to collaborate on disciplinary development, educational models, talent cultivation, and language laboratory construction, jointly exploring new pathways for foreign language talent development in the new era.
