Tangshan Research Institute Holds “National Security Day Campus Awareness”Event

To further enhance the national security awareness of young people and create a favorable atmosphere for safeguarding national and social security, on the afternoon of April 11, Tangshan Research Institute jointly organized the “National Security Day Campus Awareness” event with the Political Security Detachment of Tangshan Public Security Bureau, Lunan Branch of Tangshan Public Security Bureau, and Guangchang Police Station.

During the event, presenters, under the theme of “National Security Education,” used display boards, case explanations, and interactive Q&A sessions to educate students and faculty on basic national security laws, anti-terrorism, and anti-cult knowledge. Participants were guided to correctly understand the overall national security concept and strengthen their awareness of anti-terrorism and anti-cult infiltration. At the scene, students listened attentively, actively participated in interactions, gained legal knowledge, and enhanced their self-protection awareness.

Gao Huixiang, Head of the Political Security Detachment of Tangshan Public Security Bureau, Tan Yue, Deputy Director of Lunan Branch of Tangshan Public Security Bureau, Zheng Bin, Director of Guangchang Police Station, together with relevant officials, held a discussion with Dong Jingzhu, Vice Director of Tangshan Research Institute, Guan Jianguo, Director of the Security Department, and other responsible staff, conducting in-depth exchanges on campus safety management.

This event helped students fully recognize the severe challenges facing national security in China, improved awareness of national and personal safety, strengthened self-protection and the ability to distinguish right from wrong, and contributed to establishing correct outlooks on life and values, laying a solid foundation for a safe and stable campus and social environment.
