Beijing Jiaotong University and Changping No.2 High School Hold Inauguration Ceremony for Establishing Quality Student Source Base

On March 10, 2025, in order to further advance the university's student recruitment efforts and strengthen exchanges and collaborations with renowned key high schools in the region, while fully leveraging the leading and exemplary role of quality student source base schools, a delegation from Beijing Jiaotong University visited Changping District, Beijing. The delegation included Sun Wenbo, Head of the Changping District Recruitment Team and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Languages and Communication Studies; Liu Kai, Deputy Head of the Changping District Recruitment Team and Vice Dean of the School of Languages and Communication Studies; and Dong Lexian, a member of the Beijing Recruitment Team. They attended the plaque unveiling ceremony for the quality student source base at Changping No. 2 High School, representing the university in awarding the designation and promoting undergraduate recruitment. The ceremony was also attended by Li Jiyang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Changping No. 2 High School, among other representatives.

On behalf of all teachers and students of Changping No. 2 High School, Li Jiyang extended a warm welcome to Sun Wenbo and the delegation. Li expressed that the designation conferred by Beijing Jiaotong University not only recognizes the high school's educational achievements and the outstanding quality of its students, but also serves as an emotional bond and testimony to the partnership between the two institutions. During the meeting, both sides provided introductions to their respective institutions and engaged in in-depth discussions on educational philosophies, school development and distinctive features, as well as academic program offerings.

Subsequently, the two parties signed an agreement to establish a Quality Student Source Base and held a plaque-awarding ceremony, during which Liu Kai presented the official plaque to Changping No. 2 High School.

Following the plaque presentation ceremony, Dong Lexian and Zheng Xiang from the Law School of Beijing Jiaotong University proceeded to the South Campus of Changping No. 2 High School, where they conducted admissions presentations and thematic lectures in respective classrooms.

As a designated Quality Student Source Base of our university, Changping No. 2 High School enrolled three students to our institution in 2024. Moving forward, our university will leverage the establishment of this Quality Student Source Base as an opportunity to further explore innovative models for talent cultivation and continuously advance the development of quality student source base initiatives.
