Tangshan Research Institute Holds Special Promotion Meeting for Tangshan City National Security and Confidentiality Education Base Construction with National Confidentiality Academy and Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau

On the morning of March 23, Tangshan Research Institute held a special meeting with the National Confidentiality Academy of Beijing Jiaotong University and the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau to discuss the construction of Tangshan City’s National Security and Confidentiality Education Base, its operation model, management mechanism, faculty support, curriculum design, and training scope. Li Xianghe, Director of Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau, Zhang Jianhong, Deputy Director, Yang Xuebing, Director of the Office, and Wang Dayong, Director of Tangshan Research Institute attended the meeting. Li Meihong, Platform Operations and Maintenance Technical Director of the National Confidentiality Academy, joined via video conference.

After reaching a consensus on jointly building Tangshan City’s National Security and Confidentiality Education Base, the three parties have maintained communication and consultation mechanisms, planned in detail, and actively promoted the project. After more than a year of intensive preparation, the base project has officially entered the construction stage and is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of May. At the meeting, Cui Yingtao, Deputy Director of Tangshan Research Institute’s Asset Management Department, reported on the construction progress, functional layout, and exhibition content of the base. Li Meihong introduced the mature confidentiality curriculum system, faculty and talent reserves, and training case experience of the National Confidentiality Academy, and provided suggestions on future participation in projects in the information technology innovation field and technology innovation. The three parties conducted in-depth discussions on the operational plan, funding, training schedule, target participants, curriculum design, faculty allocation, certificate issuance, and expansion of service content.

Li Xianghe stated that the Tangshan City National Security and Confidentiality Education Base project will greatly promote confidentiality work in Tangshan, enhance the national security awareness, confidentiality knowledge, and sense of responsibility of government, enterprise, and institution staff, and confidential personnel. The Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau will fully support and cooperate with the National Confidentiality Academy of Beijing Jiaotong University and Tangshan Research Institute to ensure the construction and operation of the base. It is hoped that the base will leverage the faculty and teaching advantages of the National Confidentiality Academy, seek broader development, serve Hebei Province and the nation, promote Tangshan, attract talent, and advance Tangshan’s information industry and digital economy, contributing further to the development of the Beijing-TianjinHebei economic region.

Wang Dayong expressed gratitude to leaders and relevant departments of Hebei Province, Tangshan City, and Beijing Jiaotong University for their attention and strong support for the project. He analyzed the advantages and challenges faced by the base after completion and hoped that the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau could strengthen policy support and business guidance during the base’s operation and management. He suggested establishing a regular, sustainable joint meeting system among the three parties, leveraging each party’s strengths to jointly develop, fully utilize the base’s functions in national security and confidentiality education, raise the overall level of national security and confidentiality education in Tangshan, and actively expand participation in the information technology innovation industry. Responsible colleagues from the Tangshan Municipal Party Committee Confidentiality Bureau and Tangshan Research Institute’s Institute Office and Asset Management Department attended the meeting.
