The 2025 "Challenge Cup" National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Contest - Beijing Jiaotong University Campus Competition was successfully concluded recently. The delegation from the School of Languages and Communication studies, delivered an outstanding performance, receiving one Second-Class Prize and five Third-Class Prizes at the university level, fully demonstrating the innovative spirit and practical capabilities of our students.

The 2025 "Challenge Cup" National Undergraduate Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Contest is co-organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, All-China Students' Federation, and local governments. It is renowned as the "Olympics" of technological innovation for contemporary university students.

The School attached great importance to the competition and actively encouraged students to participate. After the preliminary selection, the project "Research on the Inheritance of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture and the Value Guidance for the Younger Generation in Digital Culture: A Case Study of the China Media Group's "China in Classics" by the team of Zhao Jinduo and Lian Chongxiu from the Class of 2023, Department of English, stood out and advanced to the final review and defense stage of the university competition. Focusing on the high-quality cultural program "China in Classics" produced by China Media Group, the project reveals the dual role of digital culture in both inheriting traditional Chinese culture and guiding the ideological values of the younger generation through social surveys, while providing corresponding strategic recommendations. This project became the only team from our School to win a Second-Class Prize at the university level, fully reflecting the effectiveness of our school's philosophy of promoting learning and teaching through competitions, as well as the achievements in cultivating interdisciplinary integration, cultural literacy, and social practice capabilities under the framework of New Liberal Arts education.
