Department of Communication of the School of Languages and Communication Studies Conducts Research and Exchange at Adquan. To promote in-depth integration between academia and industry and improve the quality of talent cultivation, on the afternoon of May 23rd, a delegation from the Department of Communication of the School of Languages and Communication Studies, including director Li Bing, deputy director Wen Weihua, and young teacher Wang Xiaopei, went to Adquan for research and exchange. As an important stop of industry research for the 2024 version of undergraduate and postgraduate training programs, the two sides had discussions on these matters such as talent cultivation, competitions and activities, curriculum construction, and internship practice. The person in charge of Adquan first introduced the basic situation of the company. As a well-known resource integration service platform in China’s internet marketing industry, Adquan serves brands, advertising agencies, media, and their practitioners. It provides timely industry information, industrial observations, and exchange of views among core groups, creating opportunities for industrial resource matching and integration. Subsequently, the two sides conducted further exchanges on the Golden Pupil Award. Guided by the China Advertising Association of Commerce (CAAC) and hosted by Adquan, the Golden Pupil Award is an authoritative award that recognizes the commercial value in the fields of content and content marketing. To promote the development of industry talents and stimulate young people’s enthusiasm for employment, the Golden Pupil Award has specially set up the “Future Power Track”, which holds innovation competitions for young people and encourages and supports them to innovate in various fields. After the person in charge of the competition introduced the competition system, review methods, and overall arrangements for the 2023 event, the two sides reached a cooperation intention on the “Golden Pupil Award Future Power Campus Promotion Activity”, which is scheduled to be held at Beijing Jiaotong University on the afternoon of June 8th. Finally, the participants conducted fruitful discussions on expanding the content and forms of cooperation. Through in-depth discussions on issues such as the construction of internship and practice bases and how to integrate “telling Chinese brand stories well” with curriculum ideology and politics, the two sides explored effective ways to deepen cooperation between industry and academia, expanded the space for cooperation and development, brought more learning and growth opportunities to students, and promoted talent cultivation to a new level.
