Recruitment Announcement for Spanish Foreign Teachers at the School of Languages and Communication Studies

School of Languages and Communication Studies, Beijing Jiaotong University, a secondary college directly under the university, is responsible for the university's public English teaching and professional instruction in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Journalism, and Communication. To enhance the university's internationalization level and improve students' Spanish proficiency, the School intends to recruit a full-time foreign Spanish teacher, with preference given to long-term candidates.

Job Responsibilities

1.Courses:

1) Responsible for speaking and writing courses for students majoring in Spanish;

2) Organize lectures and workshops for both Spanish majors and non-Spanish majors (e.g., social culture of Spanish-speaking countries or comparative culture, etc.)

2.Workload:

1) Undertake 14 teaching hours per week.

2) Flexible tasks include guiding student competitions, course recording, manuscript proofreading, etc.

Basic Application Requirements

1. Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher.

2. Experience Requirements: At least two years of teaching experience.

3. Language Requirements: Native Spanish speaker; proficiency in bilingualism is preferred.

4. Age Requirements: Not exceeding 60 years of age.

5. Teaching Certification: Holders of a teaching qualification from their home country or an international language teaching certificate are preferred.

Recruitment Process and Compensation

1. Candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited for an interview organized by the college, which includes self-introduction, mini-lesson presentation, and Q&A session. Successful candidates will be offered a contract.

2. We offer a competitive salary package with an annual pre-tax income of CNY 200,000, which includes housing and international travel allowances.
