Tangshan Research Institute Party Branch Holds 2022 Annual Organizational Life Meeting and Conducts Democratic Appraisal of Party Members

To thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, persistently use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to unite and strengthen the Party, strictly implement the Party’s organizational life system, and in accordance with university requirements and the actual work of the Institute, on the afternoon of March 28, the Party Branch of Tangshan Research Institute held the 2022 annual organizational life meeting and democratic appraisal of Party members. Wang Dayong, Party Branch Secretary and Director of Tangshan Research Institute, and all Party members of the branch attended the meeting, which was chaired by Dong Jingzhu, Party Branch Deputy Secretary and Vice Director.

Prior to the meeting, the Party Branch planned and prepared carefully in advance in accordance with the requirements of the organizational life meeting. Preparations included self-study, discussion and exchange, Party class guidance, heart-to-heart talks, problem identification, and the drafting of self-examination materials.

At the organizational life meeting, Organization Committee member Li Jiazhi, Propaganda Committee member Feng Linlin, and Discipline Inspection Committee member Wang Xiaona led the study of Speech at the First Collective Study of the 20th Central Political Bureau, Questions and Answers on the 20th Party Constitution (Amendment), and Regulations on the Work of Party Branches of the Communist Party of China (Trial). All Party members further deepened their study of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 20th Party Congress.

Wang Dayong delivered the 2022 Annual Report on Party Building Work on behalf of the Branch Committee, reporting on the identification of issues by the Branch Committee, analyzing causes, and proposing rectification measures and future work plans based on the issues identified and suggestions from Party members and the public.

Subsequently, all Party members comprehensively identified deficiencies and problems in political belief, Party consciousness, theoretical study, abilities, role performance, and discipline and conduct, carrying out frank criticism and self-criticism. Linking specific people and events, through personal self-evaluation and mutual evaluation among Party members, the meeting achieved the effect of “blushing faces, sweating it out, detoxifying, and pulling up sleeves,” providing a profound ideological baptism, political inspection, and Party character tempering, further enhancing the cohesion, combat effectiveness, and centripetal force of the branch members.

To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the organizational life meeting, after listening to the Branch Committee’s work report and conducting criticism and selfcriticism, all Party members carefully completed the Party Member Democratic Evaluation of Party Branch Work Form and the Party Member Democratic Evaluation Form, conducting democratic appraisal to objectively and fairly evaluate the Party Branch and each Party member.

In his concluding remarks, Wang Dayong stated that the meeting closely combined the branch’s work reality and Party members’ ideological and behavioral conditions, carried out in-depth self-examination, strictly identified problems, performed thorough Party character analysis, and conducted serious criticism and self-criticism without empty talk or superficial harmony. The meeting served as a valuable experience to help Party members correct mistakes and improve work. He encouraged members to be problem-oriented, earnestly perform their duties, play a pioneering and exemplary role, and make greater contributions to the development of Tangshan Research Institute.

Through this organizational life meeting, Party-member teachers identified their own shortcomings and clarified directions for future efforts. They expressed that in future work and life, they will adhere to the original mission of education, remember the educational responsibility, strive forward with vigor and determination inspired by the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, and jointly write a new chapter for Tangshan Research Institute.
