Spanish Major of the School of Languages and Communication Studies Successfully Holds the Final of the 2nd “Spanish Bridge” Professional Discipline Competition. To fully stimulate enthusiasm for professional learning and further enhance the cohesion of the Spanish major “big family”, the Spanish major and the Spanish Association of the School of Languages and Communication Studies successfully held the final of the 2nd “Spanish Bridge” Professional Discipline Competition in the multi-functional hall of the Student Activity Center on May 14th. Undergraduates admitted in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, majoring in Spanish, as well as all professional teachers and counselors, participated in the event and gathered together in joy. The competition consisted of three tracks, held in the order of dubbing, speech, and singing. After the end of each track’s competition, the on-site audience and judges voted and scored to jointly select the winners. The dubbing track kicked off first. Five groups of contestants, including Wu Yue, Jin Zhiyao, Pi Xinyi, Hong Wei, and Chen Xinlin, selected clips for on-site dubbing. Among the selected segments were humorous and funny ones, and contestants wonderful performances made the audience laugh heartily; there were also warm and touching segments, where the contestants sang affectionately with the music, touching the on-site audience. In the speech track, three contestants, Wang Siyu, Xia Rongxin, and Hou Heruoxue took the turns to give speeches. They were confident and calm, with clear logic, articulate expression, and standard pronunciation, winning unanimous praise from the judges. Finally, the singing track featured fantastic performances by ten groups of contestants, Zou Jingyi, Huo Yuchen, Zhang Fei, Chen Ping, Xu Linxi, Zheng Yijia, Guo Zijin, Kou Tiantian, and Lu Meixi. The ten groups chose different styles of songs, including rap, rock and pop, as well as gentle and lyrical styles. The contestants showed their talents on stage, with some combining singing with dancing, while others actively interacting and cheering with the audience, pushing the atmosphere of the competition to a climax. After the end of three tracks’ competition, a surprise session was added on site. Teacher Tong Yawei, Director of the Department of European and Asian Languages, sang the songs City of Stars and Mojito in a duet with students Chen Xinlin and Guo Zijin. Teacher Wang Fei sang Days on Jiaoda East Road in a chorus with freshmen as a gift to the graduates. All teachers sang Youth Album together, conveying sincere blessings to the students. Finally, the competition results were announced. In the dubbing track, five contestants, namely Chen Xinlin, Jin Zhiyao, Wu Yue, Pi Xinyi, and Hong Wei, won the First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize, and Excellence Award respectively. In the speech track, three contestants, Hou Heruoxue, Xia Rongxin, and Wang Siyu, won the First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize respectively. In the singing track, Lu Meixi and Zheng Yijia won the First Prize, two contestants, Zou Jingyi and Zheng Yijia won the Second Prize, three contestants, Zhang Fei, Xu Linxi, and Kou Tiantian won the Third Prize, and four contestants, Huo Yuchen, Chen Ping, Xu Linxi, and Guo Zijin won the Excellence Award.
