Joint Learning and Construction Between School of Languages and Communication Studies, Beijing Jiaotong University and School of Humanities of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications

On March 20, 2025, a delegation from the School of Humanities at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications visited the School of Languages and Communication Studies at Beijing Jiaotong University for a joint learning and building activity. The delegation included Party Secretary Sheng Yanan, Deputy Party Secretary Li Yongkun, Director of Student Affairs Office Gao Ling, and Counselor Zhao Yiyi. The hosts participating in the activity were Sun Wenbo, Party Committee Secretary of the School, Wen Yingchun, Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the School, Lu Qiang, Director of both the Party-Administration Office and Student Affairs Office, and An Ruolin, Secretary of the School's Communist Youth League Committee.



Sun Wenbo introduced the school's historical development and overall educational activities, highlighting the reforms in public English teaching supporting the university's Double First-Class University Initiative and the operation of the Academic English Writing Center. Sheng Yanan, Party Secretary of the School of Humanities at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, shared insights and achievements in the school's work under new circumstances and with the new campus.

Faculty members exchanged views on integrating Party building with career development and implementing the coordinated strategy on education, technology, and talent. They engaged in in-depth discussions on building a high-quality faculty with global perspectives, student recruitment and employment, and developing distinctive school-branded activities. Subsequently, led by Fan Shucheng, Director of the Experimental Teaching Center, the delegation visited the school's laboratories.



This joint activity provided new perspectives and momentum for innovative development in humanities and social sciences at both schools. Moving forward, the two institutions will continue to uphold the spirit of open cooperation, strengthen academic exchanges, and jointly explore new pathways for developing humanities disciplines in technological universities.
