On the afternoon of April 9, Vice President Guan Zhongliang, Liang Ying, Deputy Director of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, and Wang Chunle, Director of the Market Department of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center, visited Tangshan to participate in the “2023 University Graduates Employment Forum — 100 Universities Enter Tangshan” event. They conducted an on-site inspection of Tangshan Research Institute’s development and provided guidance. Wang Dayong, Director of Tangshan Research Institute, and Dong Jingzhu, Vice Director, accompanied the visit.

Guan Zhongliang and his team attended the welcome ceremony of the forum and participated in school–enterprise matching activities organized by the forum. They communicated directly with key enterprises in Tangshan, enterprises above designated size, major projects, and specialized and innovative enterprises, conducting two-way discussions based on the employment situation of the university’s graduates.

They also conducted an on-site inspection of the campus after the completion of Phase III renovation, including Siyuan Building A, Zhiyuan Building, Siyuan Plaza, and Tianyou Auditorium. They engaged in discussions with researchers in the National Certification/Accreditation Laboratory for Structural Strength Testing, Rail Grinding Technology and Equipment Laboratory, and Intelligent Transportation Material Empowerment Technology Laboratory, and inquired in detail about laboratory and team relocation, research platform construction, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Guan Zhongliang affirmed the progress Tangshan Research Institute has made since its establishment, understood the challenges the Institute currently faces in funding, team building, and operational management, and provided specific guidance for its next phase of development.

Relevant staff from the Institute Office, Human Resources Department, Science and Technology Development Department, Asset Management Department, Logistics Support Department, and Security Department participated in the inspection.
