Achieves Outstanding Results

in National Foreign Language Teaching Contest

The results of the 2025 "Teaching Star Competition" hosted by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press were recently announced. Delegation from the Department of English Language Teaching, Beijing Jiaotong University achieved outstanding results in the national event, securing multiple awards. It was attributed to their solid professional expertise, innovative teaching philosophies, and remarkable outcomes in courses with ideological-political elements. This not only showcases the overall strength and teaching vitality of our English faculty, but also exemplifies the University's continuous efforts to promote public English teaching reform, deepen the development of courses with ideological-political elements, and implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talents.

In the Competition, the team of Wang Jianrong, Tang Xuehua, Xu Jie, Liu Yujie, and Wan Wenjing won the Grand Prize in the National Semi-final and the Third Prize in the National Finals.

In the Special Competition for Courses with Ideological-political Elements, Xu Jie and Du Kexin won the Grand Prize, Wan Wenjing won the First Prize, Liu Luwei and Wang Min won the Second Prize, and Cheng Xia won the Third Prize.

The Department, under the School of Languages and Communication Studies, consistently upholds the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talents, actively advancing organized and systematic teaching and research activities. Through regular teaching seminars and teaching innovation workshops, the Department maintains its focus on high-quality educational development, strengthens the mechanism of "promoting teaching and research through competitions", and continuously enhances faculty teaching competence and collaborative capacity, thereby providing solid support for cultivating internationally competitive talents.
