Sixth Online "Gourmet Gathering" Sharing Event Successfully Concludes (2020-03-26)

Each March, the Trade Union of the School of Languages and Communication Studies extends an invitation for a culinary rendezvous, organizing all faculty and staff to share gastronomic delights… 2020 marked the sixth edition of this event. Themed "Staying Home with Love to Fight the Pandemic, Masters Gathering to Showcase Culinary Skills", this year’s event differed from previous ones by utilizing a mini-program for registration, voting, and online food sharing. After a 10-day registration and voting period, 45 faculty and staff members shared 56 delicious dishes that were a feast for the eyes and palate. Five dishes — "Super Shredded Potatoes", "Fortune Egg Rolls", "Drunk Fragrant Yellow Croaker", "Egg-Milk Crispy Fried Dough Sticks", and "Stir-Fried Noodles with Wild Mushrooms" — earned their creators the title of "Master Chef" of the School’s Sixth Gourmet Gathering through high votes.

As a traditional event of the School Trade Union, the "Gourmet Gathering" has always been one that the entire faculty and staff actively participate in. This year’s edition garnered even wider attention, being shared 456 times, accumulating 10,443 votes, and reaching a total of 21,709 page views.

By persistently holding the Gourmet Gathering event during the pandemic, the School Trade Union aimed to help all faculty and staff relax, show care for their families, and display their diverse culinary talents.
