On the afternoon of November 21, 2019, the launch ceremony for the first Education Training Camp, jointly organized by the School of Languages and Communication Studies of Beijing Jiaotong University and TAL Education Group, was held in Classroom 105 of Siyuan West Building. Attending the ceremony were Gao Yongfeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Languages and Communication Studies; and representatives from TAL Group—Ms. Xie Bing, Mr. Wang Huaifeng, and Ms. Dong Leilei from the Campus Resources Department of Xueersi Online School. The event was hosted by Ms. Guo Yi from the School of Languages and Communication Studies.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms. Gao Yongfeng delivered the opening speech. She noted that a significant proportion of the School’ s foreign language graduates have pursued teaching careers in primary and secondary schools, universities, and training institutions, making the education and training industry a key sector for the employment and entrepreneurship of the School’ s students. This training camp, which invites TAL Group-a flagship enterprise in the training industry-to provide instruction for students, will enhance their understanding of the education and training sector and improve their practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. Following this, Mr. Wang Huaifeng introduced the course schedule for the training camp and emphasized the important application of modern technologies such as big data in the education industry and within the Group.

After the launch ceremony, teachers from TAL Group delivered two insightful lectures. Ms. Tang Xueli, Assistant Dean of the TAL Education Research Institute and Head of the Policy Research Department, first explained to students the impact of policies on industry development, investment, and financing. She provided an in-depth analysis of how enterprises conduct policy research, assess the impact of policies on financing, and offered positive predictions and visions for the future direction of the education industry. In the second lecture, Mr. Li Rui, Deputy General Manager of the Central Office at TAL Group, shared vivid stories based on his own experiences and those around him, illustrating the past development of the private education industry and its future prospects. Students listened attentively to both lectures. During the interactive session, students actively asked questions and engaged with the teachers, who provided detailed answers based on their professional knowledge and work experience, earning continuous applause from the audience.
