School of Languages and Communication Studies Holds “Foreign Language Teaching and Learning” Exchange Session with Professor Dong Yansheng

On October 17, the “Foreign Language Teaching and Learning” exchange session with Professor Dong Yansheng was held in the Lecture Hall of Siyuan West Building at the School of Languages and Communication Studies. Professor Dong Yansheng, a leading figure in Spanish language and literature education in China, a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Foreign Studies University, was invited to visit and engage in a cordial exchange with faculty and students of the School.

During the session, Professor Dong Yansheng delved into topics such as foreign language learning techniques, methodologies for foreign language teaching, and the values of literary translation, sharing insights and exchanging ideas with the faculty and students.

Professor Dong’ s experiential sharing was profound yet accessible, concise yet meaningful, offering significant guidance for foreign language teaching and learning. His remarks sparked enthusiastic responses among the attendees, particularly among faculty and students of the Spanish and Portuguese programs in the School’ s Department of European and Asian Languages.
