On the afternoon of June 23rd, a seminar on "Culture, Education and Science" between Beijing Jiaotong University and Warsaw University of Technology was held online. President Wang Jiaqiong, Vice President Guan Zhongliang of our university and President Krzysztof Zaremba of Warsaw University of Technology attended the opening ceremony, and speeches were delivered by the presidents of both sides.

On the afternoon of June 23rd, a seminar on "Culture, Education and Science" between Beijing Jiaotong University and Warsaw University of Technology was held online. President Wang Jiaqiong, Vice President Guan Zhongliang of our university and President Krzysztof Zaremba of Warsaw University of Technology attended the opening ceremony, and speeches were delivered by the presidents of both sides.

President Krzysztof Zaremba stated that strengthening the cooperation between the research teams of the two universities was the common wish of the two universities, and Confucius Institute served as a bridge for the cooperation between the two universities. In his view, the convening of this seminar provided a good opportunity for the two universities to understand each other's scientific research situation, and he firmly believed that the good foundation of cooperation between the two universities would be consolidated in the fruitful exchanges at the college and discipline levels.

At the opening ceremony, Xia Mingchao, Director of the Office of International Affairs, and Grzegorz Robak, Director of the International Cooperation Department of Warsaw Institute of Technology, respectively introduced the basic situation of the two universities, the characteristics of scientific research and the cooperation between the two universities in the future.

After the opening ceremony, three sub-forums of "Mechanical, Electrical and Control Engineering and Civil Engineering", "Electrical and Information Engineering and Computer and Information Technology" and "Materials and Science" were held simultaneously, and then the academic exchange forum for students was successfully held. Gao Qinxiang, the Chinese president of the Confucius Institute at University of Campinas in Brazil, gave a cultural lecture on "Poetic China: Paintings and Private Gardens of Chinese Literati" for teachers and students of Warsaw University of Technology at the closing ceremony.

More than 40 scholars and doctoral students from our university and Warsaw University of Technology gave exchange reports in this online seminar, with over 200 registered participants, which lasted for nearly 8 hours. Professors, scholars and students in related fields of the two universities have fully exchanged ideas, deepened mutual understanding of disciplines and key cooperative research fields, which laid a good foundation for further promoting educational exchanges and scientific research cooperation between our two universities.
