Tangshan Research Institute Conducts Field Study on Industry–University–Research Integration in Lutai Economic Development Zone

On the afternoon of March 9, Wang Dayong, Director of Tangshan Research Institute, and Dong Jingzhu, Vice Director, led relevant responsible colleagues to Lutai Economic Development Zone to conduct a field study on industry–university–research integration work. Dong Zhijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Administrative Committee of Lutai Economic Development Zone, received and accompanied the delegation.

The Tangshan Research Institute team visited Jin Hengtong Company, Yalian Machinery Company, St. Lawrence Company, Yuanda Hongyu Company, Dongfangcheng Company, Dezhong Feimei Company, Zhongnan Gaoke Company, and Jinwan Tekan Company, learning about product development, market promotion, and operational planning, and engaged in discussions with corporate R&D personnel.

Dong Zhijun pointed out that Lutai Economic Development Zone is currently at a critical stage of leveraging technology for innovation and education for support. The zone will assess talent needs of key enterprises to provide strong support for future university–enterprise cooperation. He expressed hope that the Institute’s visit would help explore more collaboration opportunities, facilitate connections between the development zone and universities and research institutions, clarify R&D directions for enterprises, build higher-level innovation platforms, and promote high-quality development in the zone.

Wang Dayong stated that the delegation was deeply impressed by Lutai Economic Development Zone’s high-quality development achievements in recent years. The Institute will leverage Beijing Jiaotong University’s technological and talent advantages, adhere to the principle of “seeking support through service and building together through contribution,” strengthen ties with the development zone, and coordinate cooperation. He expressed the hope that both parties would jointly promote talent introduction, co-construction of technological innovation platforms, and transformation of scientific achievements, achieve mutually beneficial cooperation, and contribute to the integrated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.

The Lutai Economic Development Zone Education Bureau, Development and Bureau, and relevant personnel from the Institute Office, Human Resources Department, Science and Technology Development Department, Teaching and Training Department, and Logistics Department participated in the study.
