Secures Four National Social Science Fund Annual Projects

The National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences has released the list of 2025 National Social Science Fund Annual Projects. Faculty from the School of Languages and Communication Studies secured four grants, showcasing strong academic foresight and concerns to real-world issues. Professor Yin Jing was awarded a General Project for the research on "The Policy Evolution and Theoretical Construction of Language Education for Special Children in China". Professor Li Bing also was awarded a General Project for the research on "Multimodal Narratives of Chinese Festivals and Enhancement of International Communication Efficacy in the Digital Intelligence Era". In addition, Lecturer Cheng Xia was awarded a Youth Project for the research on "Multimodal Construction and Enhancement Strategies of Discourse Identity in Chinese Enterprises' External Communication in the New Media Era". Lecturer Zhang Kui was awarded a Youth Project for the research on "Ethical Risks and Governance of Cultural Memory Construction by Generative Artificial Intelligence".

In recent years, aligned with the University's overarching "double world-class project" and guided by the pursuit of high-quality development in humanities and social sciences, the School has consistently prioritized the cultivation, application, and support of high-level research projects, successfully fostering a vibrant academic research ecosystem.

Looking ahead, the School will further strengthen research support, continuously optimize research services, and encourage more faculty to conduct in-depth research that addresses national needs and is grounded in disciplinary strengths. These efforts aim to steadily enhance the School's research capacity and academic influence, inject further momentum into the University's "double world-class project" development, and contribute more high-quality achievements to the development of humanities and social sciences in China.
